Our entire health care team is committed to providing personal attention to the unique concerns of each individual animal and their owner in the greater Cumberland County area, including Millville, Vineland and Bridgeton.

Under the direction of Dr. Ryan Gorman, the Animal Clinic of Millville is a friendly, family oriented facility with its goal to offer the best possible care for your pet at an affordable price. We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of both internal and external laboratories. We also work closely with referral practices when special diagnostic procedures are required. Our facility includes a well-stocked pharmacy, in-hospital surgery suite, in-house x-ray capabilities, EKG, ultrasound, a closely supervised hospitalization area, and indoor boarding kennels with outdoor walking areas. Also, for your convenience, we have a retail store that carries professional pet products, prescription diets, specialty treats, grooming supplies & shampoos, and assorted toys & gifts.

Dr. Ryan Gorman

Owner

Dr. Gorman joined the Animal Clinic of Millville in the spring of 2007 after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in that same year. Originally from Illinois, Dr. Gorman and his family have been living in South Jersey for 12 years. Dr. Gorman’s area of interest include internal medicine with emphasis on endocrine diseases as well as orthopedic surgery. Dr. Gorman recently purchased the Animal Clinic of Millville January 2019.

Dr. Amy Granato

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Granato is originally from Maryland but now lives in the area with her husband, Ron, and an assortment of cats and dogs. She is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and also has a Masters in Reproductive Biology from Johns Hopskins University. Dr. Granato is the currently Veterinary Director for the Cumberland County SPCA and has a special interest in soft tissue surgery and reproductive medicine. She has been in practice for 27 years and has been with us at the Animal Clinic since 2002.

Dr. Janelle DeFulio

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Janelle DeFulio was born and raised in Southern New Jersey. She attended the Pennsylvania State University, College of Agricultural Sciences for her undergraduate education and then graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s school of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. She now lives in South Jersey with her dog Bentley, cat Bernie and two goats Ellie and Cannoli. In her spare time, Dr. DeFulio enjoys kickboxing,spending time with family and friends, and traveling. Dr. DeFulio’s special interests include nutrition, soft tissue surgery and emergency medicine.

Dr. Yasmin Mahmood

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Yasmin Mahmood grew up in northern New Jersey but now happily resides in southern New Jersey. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 2004 and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Oklahoma State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. After graduation she returned to New Jersey to join a mobile equine practice. In 2009 she changed gears to small animal private practice. Her special interests are feline behavior, canine and feline internal medicine, dermatology and treatment of myofascial pain through trigger point dry needling therapy. She lives with her husband, daughter and her farm is home to 5 horses, 3 dogs, 4 cats, several ducks & chickens.

Dr. Anne Piarulli

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Anne Piarulli was born and raised in southern New Jersey. She moved to New Brunswick, New Jersey to attend Rutgers University, School of Environmental & Biological Sciences and received her BS in Animal Science. In 2014, she moved to the Cayman Islands to attend St. Matthew’s University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical year at the University of Georgia. Her special interest include nutrition, dermatology, and honeybee medicine. She currently lives in South Jersey with her dog Chewbacca. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and taking road trips with her dog. Dr. Anne and Chewbacca have traveled to 2 countries and 16 states over the last 18 months.

Dr. Alexandra Dashkevicz

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Alexandra Dashkevicz began her veterinary career as a NJ registered veterinary technician in 2000. She graduated from Rutgers University, NJ in 2005 with a dual degree; Bachelor of Science (Pre-Veterinary Animal Science) and a Bachelor of Fine Arts. In 2010, she moved to St. Kitts in the West Indies to attend Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She finished her clinical year at Oklahoma State University and graduated in 2014.

Dr. Alex’s interests in veterinary medicine are small animal dermatology, preventative/wellness medicine, internal medicine and geriatric medicine. She is currently a member of the AVMA, NJVMA and NJVHMA. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Alex enjoys traveling, boating, fishing, and various outdoor activities with her husband and daughter. Her pet family includes cats, dogs and chickens.

Dr. Brook Smiley

Associate Veterinarian

Dr. Brook Smiley is a new graduate as of 2023. She graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine where she attended her clinical year through Lincoln Memorial University. She was born and raised in South Jersey and is happy to be back. Dr. Smiley enjoys all aspects of general practice and the ability to make everlasting connections with her patients and clients. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Smiley surrounds herself with family and friends, she enjoys being a proud aunt of her nephew and niece, Gary and Grace, and of course all the furry family members.
