Dr. Yasmin Mahmood grew up in northern New Jersey but now happily resides in southern New Jersey. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 2004 and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Oklahoma State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008. After graduation she returned to New Jersey to join a mobile equine practice. In 2009 she changed gears to small animal private practice. Her special interests are feline behavior, canine and feline internal medicine, dermatology and treatment of myofascial pain through trigger point dry needling therapy. She lives with her husband, and her farm is home to 5 horses, 3 dogs, 4 cats and several ducks.
